Hi there! I am Missy Cochran and I love photography, I fact, you could say that I am obsessive. It all started when I got married and had my wonderfully awesome grandpa take my pictures. He was a professional photographer and I thought all photographers were the same. After the wedding, I got the pictures back and they were all very traditional. Not grandpa’s fault, but mine for not knowing what I wanted. Anyway, I realized too late that I had actually wanted something different than what I got. Since my wedding is all over, I now get to live vicariously through my awesome couples. Other stuff about me is that I make a goal every three months to run regularly, but haven’t yet quite found my mojo. I think I like the idea of being a runner but maybe I am not really one at heart! I love sweets and I love my church and doing things that add joy to my life.

For those of you just stumbling onto this scene, this is my brother Mike and his new wife. Melanie (my sister) and I took their wedding pictures and these are a few of my favorites. Luckily, we were smart and scheduled a romantic session the day before the wedding. I say lucky because on the day of the wedding it rained all morning. Their wedding took place at the Manti, Utah LDS temple.
This is their first glance seeing each other for the first time before the wedding. Super sweet.
Becca’s two pairs of shoes. I can’t decide which ones I like better.
My brother, what a stud. Do you see the honey bee on his corsage? He is really into bee keeping and there were decorative bees everywhere, the bouquet, the cake and everywhere there were flowers.
So much to post and so little time! My life is a little crazy right now. Sorry to those of you who were at the beach weekend, I still haven’t scanned my Polaroids but they are coming soon I have had major out of town trips every weekend and I am on my way to two photo engagement sessions tomorrow and Sat, so I will be getting on the ball with posting very soon. This is Becca, my brother’s new wife! Isn’t she beautiful? More to come soon
One of my weddings was just featured at Portland Style Unveiled. This is such an honor because one of my all time favorite photographers, Elizabeth Messina, was recently featured here as well! Check out the post! Missy Cochran – Photographer featured at Portland Style Unveiled
A wedding I photographed with Mel last year and never blogged about because she blogged it. Recently I got some of the pictures I took at the wedding from her, so here they are!
A Niko Productions is awesome! They are a husband wife team and they are dedicated to producing wedding stories that are really artistic (I am all about that!). When I watch their demo, it looks like a movie instead of a wedding video. Check out their website at:
Rhyme and A Reason Flowers were so cool. They set everything up for the ceremony archway and everything. The flowers were so stylish! Just ignore the invitation picture that got mixed in
This is also totally impressive. Adele had her bridesmaids each decorate their own bouquet with similar colors. I love love love the eclectic feel of this.
