I just made this fun little blog to chronicle the road to film which I know I am taking. I get so excited about each step in the process, this will be a fun way to share. Here is the link:

I bring you, THE BEACH WEEKEND…(finally)
About a month ago (wow, had it really been that long?) a bunch of us local photographers went to Sara Grey’s Beach house at the coast for four days. It was a photographer’s dream! We talked shop almost the whole time except for when we didn’t talk shop. I felt like I was in middle school have a huge sleepover with all my girlfriends without a lot of sleep. Every day we went to the beach and took pictures of each other and we even had good weather most of the time. The pictures I took were a new kind of experiment since it was the Fuji film’s version of a Polaroid camera. I looked like a kinder-gardener walking to the beach with this huge plastic camera because I cannot yet be trusted with a real camera. Yah, I got a lot of flack, but it was so fun and such a different experience to shoot with a VERY limited number of pictures that I could take. I think I had 20 frames for the whole weekend. Here is what I got…
Erica Ann knocked my socks off with her super sweet posing skills!
These girls thought I was taking a picture of their feet and they are bopping to the song, Under my umberella-ella-ella-eh-eh-eh which was stuck in my head the whole next day.
Sara Gray sporting her canon in the cutest way.
Dianne Michelle looking amazing
My sister, Melanie Jade (I call her Mel)
My camera really surprised me when the flash popped. I didn’t even know it was there!
Taylor, I love her biker chick self juxtaposed with her sweet personality (Taylor, I don’t have your link! If you send it to me, I will insert it.)
Jenni Carmon twice
Sara Gray again
Melissa looking fierce
Me. Mel took it
Erica Ann again
My piggies
It’s me again. So long.
Kyle and Christina Engagement Photography
You guessed it, they met at OSU and they are both alumni! This is my other Corvallis engagement session and I have some film images from both Corvallis sessions to be posted once they are developed
My first attempt at medium format last weekend! Okay, back to Kyle and Christina. Aren’t they super cute? And they pulled off the action portion of the session so well. They met through a mutual friend who didn’t want to set them up because she didn’t think that Kyle was Christina’s type. I guess you just never know!
These ducks were evil. Although they waddled away from Christina and Kyle, they came hissing toward me because they wanted to eat my reflector. Yikes! Luckily Kyle saved the day by clapping his hands which shared them off. During the rest of the time we spent by the river, they were trying to sneak up on me when my back was turned.
Wyatt and Tracy E Session
Meet Tracy. Tracy was my second photographer for a few weddings that Mel couldn’t help me with last year. She graduated from OSU with a major in photography so of course I was honored that she wanted me to take her wedding pictures. Tracy meets Wyatt. All the girls loved him so much that Tracy wasn’t sure she wanted to, but how could she not. He won her heart and it is very clear to me that she is totally smitten. We took these all around the outskirts of Corvallis, Oregon. Spring is beautiful in Corvallis.
The Rest of Mike and Becca’s Wedding Pictures
For those of you just stumbling onto this scene, this is my brother Mike and his new wife. Melanie (my sister) and I took their wedding pictures and these are a few of my favorites. Luckily, we were smart and scheduled a romantic session the day before the wedding. I say lucky because on the day of the wedding it rained all morning. Their wedding took place at the Manti, Utah LDS temple.
This is their first glance seeing each other for the first time before the wedding. Super sweet.
Becca’s two pairs of shoes. I can’t decide which ones I like better.
My brother, what a stud. Do you see the honey bee on his corsage? He is really into bee keeping and there were decorative bees everywhere, the bouquet, the cake and everywhere there were flowers.
So much to post and so little time! My life is a little crazy right now. Sorry to those of you who were at the beach weekend, I still haven’t scanned my Polaroids but they are coming soon
I have had major out of town trips every weekend and I am on my way to two photo engagement sessions tomorrow and Sat, so I will be getting on the ball with posting very soon. This is Becca, my brother’s new wife! Isn’t she beautiful? More to come soon
