There is much more to come from this wedding in a few days, these are just a few that I like.

Storyboards
Because our style is so free spirited, I often struggle with what we have to offer our clients for wall display. Some of the coolest images we get are not necessarily what you would have framed and hang on the wall. We urge our clients to let us help them put together a wall display that will tell a story with a variety of images. These turn out amazing! We also have another option that we are making available as well. It is so fun to put a story together with a story board (it means you only have to find one frame). This is a sample I put together and it works so well with lifestyle images. Just think about having a storyboard of you kids with a “bath time” theme or “cooking with grandma”. The possibilities are endless!
Brett and Jen Engaged!
Everyone, meet Brett (some of you may already know him). He is my bother-in-law and he’s getting married. Those of you who already know Brett, meet Jen (some of you may know her too). They are uber cute together as you can see from the pics. We had a great time driving around hillsboro and as you can see, I was on a field kick. It was totally fun, they didn’t need very much direction, they just let the flirting flow! I posted a ton of pics, so click the link at the bottom of this entry to see the rest. Enjoy
New Albums
Some of you may have seen our wedding album, it was big and beautiful. We have gotten so many compliments about it and probably many of our wedding couples wanted us at their wedding so they could have one. I love having a finished product that I an proud of! I have been wondering a lot about albums and as our photography improves, my album designs have gotten simpler and simpler. I love classic white backgrounds that aren’t dated by photoshop effects and photographs that are pure and clean. I have started putting these together like a magazine layout and I am going to get a sample printed very soon! Anyway, check em out and tell me what you think…
This would be the first page and the other images below this one would be what it would look like to have the album spread across your lap. We offer albums for the first year for babies so that when the album is complete it will have speads that tell the story of your baby growing up. When we do a lifestyle session with an album in mind, we will infuse the album with your child or families unique personality and design it with details that define you in you current stage in life. The albums act almost as a time capsule telling your story at the present time if your life. I will post pictures of the finished product as soon as it is complete.
Taylor Lifestyle Senior
We asked Taylor to be a model for our new lifestyle senior shoots. We want to incorporate as much personality as possible into each lifestyle shoot! Usually the lifestyle sessions will take place at your home or at a sentimental location that defines you. We will brainstorm and think of some fun ideas at are unique and have clothing changes and the whole bit! Click the link below this pic to see the other 26 images!
Mike and Amy Sneak Peek
If there is anyone out there that I would consider to be Artisan Photographics biggest fan, I think it might be Amy. She has sent me encouraging words in every email and even sent a Christmas card. It makes me feel so special and so I am excited for the change to give Mike and Amy what they have given me. These pictures convey their love and carry a lot of sentimental value. Enjoy!
A New Cluster Map
I used to have a sweet cluster map on my old blog at blogger and when I was desciding to switch to a new blog with wordpress, one of the biggest negatives about making the switch would be that I would lose my cluster map! Unfortunately I cannot switch the cluster map to the new blog, it is tied to the url of the site. After the new blog was set up, I couldn’t bare to think of losing another cluster map so I chose not to make one. I went back and visited my old blog today and noticed there were so many more dots than last time I checked and I got really excited that there was so much traffic on my old blog. I wondered where all the people were in the world that are seeing the new blog!?!
Below is the old cluster map with about 33% more visits than last time I check and to the right of this post you will see the new blank cluster map. Be sure to stop by the blog when you are on vacation (I am sure that will be the last think on your mind, ha ha, oh, how I entertain myself).
Curtis and Kristen Sneak Peek
Last week’s fabulous engagement session. I was so excited that Kristen and Curtis were such great sports! We tried things that I have never done before. For example, some of the images from this session were taken from inside their apartment in downtown Portland! I love the cuddly couch pics! We wandered all around Portland and whenever we saw something interesting we stopped to take some pictures. It was very free spirited and spontaneous! I just loved it, I love that we went places I haven’t been for pics downtown and tried some indoor things as well!
I was excited to do some fun whirly pop pics in an engagement session. Once we were done with the pics, we didn’t quite know what to do with it. It fell out of the camera bag partway through the session. Thank goodness this wasn’t my precious 50mm lens!
